The Role
As the Senior Public Health Officer, you will play a key role in protecting and improving community health across the Moorabool Shire. Working within the Statutory Planning and Regulatory Services team, you will deliver a broad range of public health services including environmental health inspections, food safety compliance, infectious disease investigations, onsite wastewater management, and community education initiatives. This position provides an opportunity to apply your technical expertise, influence public health outcomes, and contribute to policies and programs that support a healthy, safe, and thriving community.

About You
You are a qualified and experienced Environmental Health professional with a strong understanding of public health legislation, food safety, environmental health, and regulatory compliance. You bring excellent communication and investigative skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with community members, businesses, and government agencies. Driven by a passion for protecting public health, you thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to delivering high-quality services that support the health, safety, and wellbeing of the community
