Role Description This full-time, on-site Information Technology Specialist role is based in Toowoomba, QLD. The IT Specialist will support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting networks, servers, workstations, and peripherals. Daily responsibilities include resolving user support requests, ensuring network security, managing software updates and backups, and documenting technical procedures and configurations.
The role involves collaborating with internal teams to implement new systems, optimize performance, and support cloud-based solutions used for IT and accounting services.
The IT Specialist will also provide clear, skilled communication to internal stakeholders and help improve IT processes and service reliability.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Information Technology skills, including familiarity with operating systems, hardware, software, and cloud-based environments.
- Candidates should possess Network Administration skills, such as configuring routers and switches, managing LAN/WAN environments, and monitoring network performance.
- Candidates should possess Network Security skills, including implementing security best practices, managing firewalls and antivirus tools, and supporting data protection and compliance.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing root-cause analysis, and documenting solutions.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide responsive, clear, and respectful support to internal users and stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field are beneficial.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, or similar vendor certifications) are an advantage.
- Experience in IT support within professional services, accounting, or finance-related environments is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in Toowoomba, QLD as part of a collaborative team are required.
