Safety and Wellbeing Team

Here, at City of Whittlesea, we have a dedicated Safety and Wellbeing Team that is focussed on helping to mitigate the operational safety risks of the services we provide our community, while also delivering a comprehensive wellbeing program that ensures our staff are supported to be in the best physical and mental shape required for their roles.

Injury Management and Wellbeing Officer Intro In support of these health and wellbeing aspirations we have a dedicated wellbeing role that is responsible for designing, developing and implementing a wellbeing program for the Council. From events such as R U Ok Day, to wellbeing seminars, health programs, mental health initiatives just to name a few. Aligned with these responsibilities is the support you will be providing people who are injured – for both non-work work related injuries and work related injuries.

This role will provide support to our Injury Management Advisor in the management of return to work plans and Worker’s Compensation Claims.

The part you will play

As part of the Safety and Wellbeing team you will work closely with our council staff to:

- Develop and delivery on an annual wellbeing program
- Review and update our Wellbeing Framework
- Liaise with staff in support of any Worker’s Compensation Claims
- Develop Return to Work Plans
- Provide advice to unit managers, superiors and coordinators of return-to-work outcomes
- Advise staff on injury management procedures
