We are seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join our Enterprise Strategy and Design business area.

As an Intelligence Analyst, in the Physical Security Management team, you will collect and analyse information to assess physical security threats to ATO staff, information and assets. You’ll identify emerging threats and trends to create tactical and strategic intelligence products.

You will work in a energetic environment, using a large variety of information sources to provide timely threat advice. The threat advice from our team helps shape security controls, resourcing, and policy.

Intelligence Analysts work with our partners internally as well as those in the intelligence and law enforcement communities to develop security intelligence products that provide actionable insights to security advisers and other decision makers.

You will have access to a wide variety of open and closed source information that you will use to help keep ATO staff, information, and assets safe from physical security threats.

These roles require a minimum 3 days per week onsite in order to access security systems with no remote access, access classified information, and manage ASNet for the ATO.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Canberra, Upper Mount Gravatt or Wollongong.

- identifies and reports on existing and emerging issues, patterns and trends, to support planning, risk management and strategy
- has sound understanding of the national security threat workplace
- manages complex intelligence tasks within a small team
- displays resilience and performs effectively in a dynamic environment
- communicates clearly, concisely and professionally through written and verbal channels, providing specialist advice to relevant business areas.
