About Our Client

Our client is a global business undergoing significant transformation across its operations. As part of this journey, they in the process of maturing their support and shared services centre. We are looking for an Interim Project Manager for a 12–18-month engagement based in Sydney, with Brisbane and Melbourne also considered.

The Role

This is a business operations project management role, not suitable for a technical or IT project manager. You will provide business-side coordination and delivery support across a multi-phase Finance and People transformation program, working alongside the Program Director to translate program plans into practical business activities, stakeholder readiness and adoption outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate business-side transition planning across Finance and People streams, ensuring activities, dependencies and readiness needs are clearly reflected in program plans.
- Support the business governance rhythm, including working groups, readiness checkpoints and stakeholder forums, providing explicit and concise status inputs.
- Support the capture and validation of business requirements, process impacts and operating model considerations across Finance and People.
- Coordinate change impact assessment, stakeholder engagement and adoption activities across impacted business teams.
- Maintain visibility of business risks, issues, dependencies and decisions, escalating blockers through agreed program governance channels.




- Build trusted working relationships across Finance, People, regional business teams, shared services and delivery partners.
- Document transition outputs clearly and support knowledge transfer between business teams and providers.

What You'll Bring

- Experience in business-side transition support, project coordination or program delivery within a business operations context — this is not a technical or IT delivery role.
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-stream programs across Finance, People and shared services stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project governance, RAID management, dependency tracking and stakeholder reporting.
- Experience working in complex, multi-phase transformation environments with distributed teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Transformation or Project Management; project management or change management certification advantageous.
- Structured, pragmatic and calm under pressure, with strong stakeholder influencing skills.
