We are seeking a high performing Investment Banking Analyst to join our Perth office. Part of Bell Potter Securities’ broader national investment banking practice, this role offers the opportunity to work on a range of corporate transactions across equity capital markets (ECM), mergers, and acquisitions. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and detail-orientated looking to build a long-term career in investment banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modelling & Analysis – Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial models, valuations (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions), and scenario analysis in support of live transactions.
- Research & Due Diligence – Conducting industry, company, and market research to support deal origination and execution; compiling detailed disclosure documents and investor materials.
- Pitch Book Preparation – Assisting in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and transaction timetables using PowerPoint and related tools.
- Corporate Access Support – Coordinating investor meetings with corporate clients.
- Data Management & Administration – Maintaining deal trackers, managing data rooms, and providing general administrative support to senior bankers.
- Market Monitoring – Monitoring ASX announcements, capital markets activity, and relevant sector news to keep the team informed of market developments.
- Transaction Execution & Settlement – Managing bookbuild process, ensuring compliance obligations are met and settlement process is executed accurately and efficiently through liaising with various functions of the business
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 2 years experience in investment banking, corporate finance or consulting.
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree (Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law/Commerce, or similar).
- Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, or Refinitiv.
- Understanding of ASX Listing Rules and the Australian regulatory environment
- High level of integrity and understanding of strict confidentiality obligations within the financial services industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent academic results.
