About the role
Vinova are working with a leading infrastructure business looking to add an Analyst to its investment team in Sydney.
You'll work closely with senior members of the investment team and wider finance, commercial, development and project teams to assess new investments and support major financing and strategic transactions.
Externally, you'll work with banks, investors, advisers and other capital partners.
Financial modelling sits at the heart of the role, so we're looking for someone who is genuinely technically solid in Excel and comfortable building complex models from scratch.
Duties
- Build complex financial models for energy investments
- Assess valuations, returns, cash flows, debt structures and investment scenarios
- Support debt and equity raises, M&A; and other strategic transactions
- Prepare analysis and materials for senior management, investors and capital partners
Skills / experience
- Exceptional financial modelling skills with the ability to build complex models from scratch
- Background in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure investment, corporate finance, private equity or a similar transaction environment
- Strong knowledge of valuation, debt and equity structures, IRR, NPV, cash flow and sensitivity analysis
- Experience with capital-intensive assets, ideally across energy, infrastructure or data centres
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to interpret and clearly communicate what the financial analysis means
