Role Overview This is a full-time, on-site Investment Manager role based in South Yarra, VIC.

This role forms a crucial part of the end-to-end portfolio construction, investment origination, investment due diligence, portfolio management, and ongoing management of investment opportunities. The role is the foundation position within the investment team, working under the direction of the Investment Director in conducting due diligence and supporting the ongoing management of investment opportunities. The role will also support the Investment Director on investment strategy and portfolio construction tasks.

The investment team is a high-performance unit. We review significant and genuinely interesting deal flow across global public and private markets, and we apply an investment process deliberately built to an institutional grade standard. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of global markets, diverse asset classes, and the nuances of private market investments and developing the ability to present and convey these strategies to clients efficiently and effectively.

This role offers unusually direct exposure for its level.

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to the firm's investment strategy publications, asset allocation models and mandate frameworks, and translate the agreed strategy into practical guidance for the Advisory Team and into client portfolio construction outputs.
- Capture and log all origination material received by the firm,



maintain the Investment Pipeline as the record of new and prospective opportunities, and support the manager and intermediary relationships that build 1010 Capital's presence in market as a leading MFO.
- Manage the end-to-end due diligence workflow under the direction of the Investment Director, preparing the substantive analytical work and Investment Papers, and presenting elements of the analysis at manager meetings, diligence sessions and client Portfolio Reviews.
- Run the periodic Portfolio Review process and the monthly and quarterly monitoring cycles, tracking performance, drift from target construction, risk metrics and mandate adherence, and formulating exposure adjustments for Investment Director review and CIO approval.
- Own the core investment, performance and monitoring data sets and the investment inputs to the cashflow forecasting process, holding primary responsibility for their accuracy and timeliness, and prepare recurring reporting inputs for client and internal packs.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, CFP or CA highly regarded.

Skills, Experience & Professional Characteristics

- Ideally 7-10 years of experience in investment analysis, investment advisory, M&A;, wealth management or similar roles. This may include experience within a traditional HNW wealth management firm, a multi-family office, management consulting or professional services environment.
