Japanese-speaking Finance Manager

Hands-on Finance Leadership Role, Small Business Environment We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations of our small business.

This is a broad and autonomous role suited to a finance professional who enjoys being involved in accounting, finance, taxation and overall office management. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient business operation.

About the role

Reporting to Managing Director, you will be responsible for the full range of finance functions, taxation, HR, payroll, ERP implementation and office administration.

Accounting & Finance

- Manage all accounting and finance functions, including month-end and year-end closing and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly and half-yearly financial reports and consolidation packages.
- Design, implement and maintain effective internal control.
- Forecast cash flow and make loan arrangements. Liaise with banks and maintain banking requirements.
- Take ownership of ERP processes and operations.

HR & Payroll

- Manage staffing, on-boarding and offboarding, as well as HR and payroll compliance requirements.
- Oversee the accuracy of fortnightly and monthly payroll,



payroll tax and superannuation.

Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation and statutory requirements.
- Compile BAS, payroll tax, FBT and company income tax returns, and coordinate transfer pricing and Pillar Two documentation with the tax agent.

ERP Project

- Lead the ERP transition project and take ownership of ongoing system operation. Ensure project milestones are achieved, coordinate internal and external communications, and provide user training.

Administration & IT support

- Manage general office administration.
- Provide assistance and coordination with external IT support.

About You We are looking for a finance qualified who is hands-on, commercially minded and highly organised, with ability to work independently and take ownership of a board range of responsibilities.

You will ideally have

- Relevant accounting qualifications (CA, CPA)
- Several years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience with ERP system and ideally ERP implementation projects (SAP, Sage).
- Strong understanding of IFRS, AASB and Australian taxation and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Japanese language skills would be an advantage.
