Junior Cloud Engineer (Entry-Level / Associate)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, technically minded, and curious Junior Cloud Engineer (Entry-Level / Associate) to join our technology and cloud team in Australia.

The successful candidate will support cloud infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, automation, and technical operations while working closely with experienced Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Software Developers, and IT teams.

This position is suitable for fresh graduates, recent university graduates, and early-career technology professionals who are looking to develop practical experience in cloud computing, infrastructure, automation, and modern IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
- Support cloud environments across development, testing, and production.
- Assist with monitoring cloud resources, applications, and infrastructure performance.
- Troubleshoot basic cloud infrastructure and connectivity issues.
- Support virtual machines, storage, networking, and cloud-based services.
- Assist with user access, permissions, and identity-management tasks.
- Support cloud resource configuration and administration.
- Assist with infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and application deployment activities.
- Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist with cloud cost monitoring and resource optimization.
- Maintain technical documentation for cloud environments and procedures.
- Assist with backup, recovery, and business-continuity activities.
- Support security, access-control, and cloud-compliance requirements.
- Monitor system alerts and investigate basic incidents.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or relevant teams.
- Assist with cloud migrations and infrastructure-improvement projects.
- Support configuration management and environment standardization.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, IT Support, Data, Security,



and DevOps teams.
- Participate in technical testing and release activities.
- Assist with improving cloud reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Follow established security, change-management, and operational procedures.
- Learn and apply modern cloud technologies and engineering practices.
- Perform other cloud-engineering duties assigned by management.

- Good understanding of basic IT and networking concepts.

- Basic understanding of operating systems, particularly Linux or Windows.
- Basic knowledge of cloud-computing concepts.

- Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when required.
- Proactive, curious, and responsible working attitude.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Networking , or a related field.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with limited professional experience are welcome to apply.
- Internship, university projects, cloud labs, or practical IT experience is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud .
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls is preferred.
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows server environments is an advantage.
- Basic scripting knowledge, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell , is beneficial.




- Familiarity with Git and version-control systems is preferred.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Docker or container technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools is beneficial.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging platforms is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Digital Leader, CompTIA , or similar are welcome but not mandatory.
