About the role

As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will work under the supervision of project engineers, senior engineers and project managers on various civil engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting in the planning, coordinating design, quality and safety, procurement, financial management and construction phases of civil and maintenance projects
- Conducting site investigations and analysis of data (e.g., maps, reports, tests) to support project feasibility and design
- Preparing engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Collaborating with contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Performing field inspections and surveys to assess project progress and quality
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules and tenders (cost tracking projects)
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the project life cycle
- Keeping up to date with industry standards, regulations, and technologies relevant to civil engineering

About you

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Full working rights in Australia




- Sound knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to confidently and effectively communicate with clients, working team and others
- Highly organised, with the ability to maintain accurate filing systems and ensure documents are well planned, structured, and easily accessible
- Ability to work effectively in a team workplace and independently when required
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities
