We are currently seeking Junior Project Engineers to join our growing team in WA - this is a Perth based role.
Role Purpose The Junior Project Engineer supports the Project Manager in delivering technical and engineering components of project work. This role assists with planning, scheduling, scoping and coordinating technical tasks to ensure accurate, high‑quality project execution. The position works closely with clients, supervisors and subcontractors to interpret requirements and maintain project documentation to ADENCO standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality and Technical
- Coordinate and review site QA documentation including weld records, bolt torque records and inspection test sheets.
- Complete and record field inspection checklists, test records and other quality documentation.
- Prepare technical queries, maintain TQ registers and ensure clarity of scope across all parties.
- Assist with non‑conformance records and support close‑out actions.
- Complete material take‑offs and assist procurement with ordering and delivery tracking.
- Update redline drawings and assist with MDR compilation for project close‑out.
- Prepare work packs aligned to project requirements and expectations.
- Ensure materials purchased meet company standards and represent value.
Service Delivery
- Prepare internal and client reports covering schedule, cost and HSE performance.
- Assist with ITP development and execution to ensure QA activities meet client and project requirements.
- Manage client drawings and documentation, ensuring work packs reflect current revisions.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to confirm orders, coordinate deliveries and support site teams.
- People and Coordination
- Work collaboratively with Project Supervisors, HSE Advisors and Project Managers to support protected site operations. - Demonstrate consistent HSE compliance and contribute to a zero‑harm culture.
- Liaise with fabrication teams to ensure steel and HDPE items meet project specifications.
- Coordinate subcontractor QA activities including surveying, geotechnical testing, tensile testing and water quality testing.
- Identify potential scope changes and assist Contract Administrators with estimating variations.
- Support Supervisors in maintaining plant registers and resolving technical issues on site.
- Safety
- Promote safe behaviours and contribute to a culture where safety and health are prioritised.
- Recognise and acknowledge safe work practices across the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- 2-3 years' experience supporting civil or mechanical project delivery.
- Experience preparing ITPs, ITRs, MDRs, TQs and QA documentation.
- Demonstrated stakeholder relationship management.
- Ability to pass pre‑employment and mobilisation medicals and drug and alcohol testing.
- Valid Australian C‑Class Manual Driver's Licence.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Understanding of project planning and Gantt charts.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials or practices.
- Experience with document control systems.
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines through effective coordination.
Desirable
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Candy (RIB CCS).
