Oceana Traders is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team in Avalon Beach.

This role is best suited to a teenager looking for an after-school and weekend job. No previous kitchen experience is required.

Duties include:

- Washing dishes and kitchen equipment
- Keeping kitchen and preparation areas clean and organised
- General cleaning throughout the shift
- Assisting with basic food preparation as required
- Putting away stock and supplies
- Supporting our cooks and kitchen team during service
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures

Hours: Weekday shifts are approximately 4:00pm–7:30pm.

Weekend shifts vary depending on the roster but are generally either 9:00am–2:00pm or 2:00pm–8:00pm.

Pay:





Pay is based on the Restaurant Industry Award – Level 1. Junior rates vary depending on age, so please check the Award to determine the applicable rate for your age.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, works well as part of a team and is comfortable working in a busy setting.
