The opportunity Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Kitchenhand to join our team at Melbourne Airport. As a kitchenhand, you will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness, order and efficiency in the kitchen. Apply today and join a team where you will contribute to a first-class dining experience.

What will you do?

- Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Conduct temperature and quality checks, effectively managing cross-contamination to ensure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards
- Support kitchen team members in establishing and sustaining an organised and efficient workspace
- Take on hands-on cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, waste disposal and management, operating a commercial dishwasher, and handling cleaning chemicals
- Execute food preparation tasks within a commercial kitchen environment, showcasing excellent food presentation skills

More About You

- Previous experience in a sandwich hand or kitchenhand, preferred
- Food Safety Certificate
- Passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability across a 7-day roster
