Join Our Emergency Department Team

Western District Health Service is seeking Expressions of Interest from current employees interested in joining the Emergency Department as a Personal Services Assistant (PSA).

About the Role

The Personal Services Assistant supports the day-to-day operation of the Emergency Department through a range of non-clinical support functions that contribute to patient care and service delivery. Duties may include:

- Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
- Assisting with food and beverage services.
- Transporting patients, equipment and supplies.
- Restocking clinical areas and patient spaces.
- Supporting patient comfort and care within the scope of the role.
- Assisting clinical staff with ward support activities and general departmental operations.

Qualifications

- Certificate I in Food Handling.
- Certificate III in Health Support Services or equivalent qualification (for Grade 2 PSA roles).

Locum cover is required from 4 August 2026 - 6 months. Shift times: Various, a mix of days and nights. Travel and accommodation are included. Please note that all rates are inclusive of superannuation.
