Welsford Smithers Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Horticulturist/Gardener to join our team. This full-time role is based in Pymble, NSW and will involve maintaining beautiful gardens and landscaping at local residential properties.
- Developing and executing garden maintenance plans to keep the grounds looking their best
- Planting, pruning, weeding, and watering to ensure the health and vibrancy of all plants and flowers
- Operating gardening equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers to maintain gardens
- Identifying and addressing any pests or diseases affecting the plants
- Providing recommendations on garden and plant selection to continually improve the property's aesthetic
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements
What we're looking for
- Formal qualification in horticulture or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining high-quality gardens and landscaping
- Strong knowledge of plant species, their care requirements, and seasonal considerations
- Proficient in the use of common gardening tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A passion for gardening and a desire to contribute to the presentation of our clients' properties
