Djiru Warrangburra Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC is seeking reliable and motivated casual employees to assist with a range of projects and activities undertaken on Djiru Country.
The position will primarily involve outdoor, hand-on work, including revegetation, environmental restoration, land care, clean-up activities and general labouring. Casual employees may be engaged across different Djiru projects depending on operational and project requirements.
This role provides an chance to contribute to the protection, restoration and ongoing care of Djiru Country while gaining practical experience in land management, environmental and general works.
This is a casual position, with work offered based on the availability of projects, funding and operational requirements. Hours are not guaranteed and may vary from week to week. Subject to funding, this could lead to a full-time position.
Employment conditions, including casual hourly rates, allowances and entitlements, will be provided in accordance with the applicable industrial award or employment arrangements.
Criteria
- Identify as a Djiru Traditional Owner
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work
- Can work effectively unsupervised and as part of a team and follow instructions
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Have an understanding of, or willingness to learn about caring for Country
- Can work safely and responsibly in outdoor environments
Pay: From $31.18 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 38.0 per week
