About our client
Our client is a growing boutique law firm established in 2020, with a close-knit team of legal professionals specialising in commercial transactions and employment law. The firm delivers practical, business-focused legal solutions to startups and established organisations, with a strong emphasis on non-contentious work alongside strategic dispute resolution. With continued growth and increasing client demand, the firm is seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join the team and play a key role in its ongoing expansion, with a clear pathway to partnership.
The Prospect
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lawyer to step into a high-autonomy role within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. You will work closely with leadership, manage your own matters end-to-end, and contribute to the firm’s strategic growth. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career toward partnership while building their own practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a range of commercial and employment law matters independently
- Provide strategic legal advice across business transactions, employment issues, and dispute resolution
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, agreements, and advisory materials
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor and supervise paralegals, including reviewing their work
- Contribute to business development and growth initiatives
- Support operational management across the firm
About You
- 5+ years’ PQE in commercial and/or employment law
- Strong experience in transactional and advisory work
- Ability to work autonomously and manage matters from start to finish
- Confident in client-facing situations and relationship management
- Ambitious, proactive, and commercially minded
- Interest in progressing toward partnership
- Experience mentoring junior staff is highly regarded
- Background in a boutique or similar firm environment is preferred
- Ability to bring in or develop new business is a robust advantage
