We are looking for a Leading Hand to join our Wollongong project team.

The Role

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand to join our dynamic team on our Wollongong Flagship project. In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading and supporting our in office teams to deliver projects efficiently and to the highest standard. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution and alignment with Urban's values, safety standards, and project timelines.

Your efforts will directly contribute to the success of our developments and help drive our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise in office teams, ensuring work is completed on time and to quality standards.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines, health regulations, and company protocols.
- Assist in the coordination of site activities,



ensuring efficient resource allocation and optimal work flow.
- Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Monitor progress and report on any issues or potential delays, suggesting solutions to keep the project on track.
- Provide hands-on assistance and support in the construction of various development projects.
- Help mentor and guide less experienced team members, ensuring skills development and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Assist in the quality control process, ensuring all work meets Urban's high standards.
- Ensure the site is organized, compliant, and fully stocked with necessary materials.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment and uphold Urban’s commitment to teamwork and safety.

About You

- 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the construction or property development industry.
- Proven experience leading and supervising on-site teams.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience working with construction schedules and project management tools.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
