About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Manager to lead and oversee our rope access operations across a diverse range of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, operational excellence, and team performance while driving project delivery and client satisfaction.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical rope access expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining industry-leading safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

- Manage and coordinate rope access projects from planning through to completion.
- Oversee daily site operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Allocate labour, equipment, and resources across multiple projects.
- Monitor project performance, productivity, and profitability.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all rope access activities comply with IRATA requirements, WHS legislation, and company procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, JSA/SWMS reviews, and safety audits.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain high standards of safety leadership and promote a positive safety culture.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop Rope Access Technicians and Supervisors.
- Conduct competency assessments and identify training requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field teams.
- Foster a professional, high-performance work environment.

Project & Client Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Attend client meetings, site inspections, and project planning sessions.




- Provide technical solutions and recommendations for access challenges.
- Ensure project deliverables meet client expectations and contractual requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Maintain rope access equipment registers and inspection records.
- Ensure all certifications, permits, and training records remain current.
- Provide regular operational and performance reports to senior management.

Business Development Support

- Assist with project estimating, tender submissions, and scope development.
- Identify opportunities for new business and additional service offerings.
- Support strategic growth initiatives within the rope access division.

Essential Requirements:

- Current IRATA Level 3 Certification.
- Minimum 5 years' rope access industry experience.
- Proven experience supervising and managing rope access teams.
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Desirable Qualifications:

- Cert IV in Work Health & Safety.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- High Risk Work Licences (EWP, Rigging, Scaffolding, etc.).
- Experience in industrial maintenance, shutdowns, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Project Management qualifications and experience.
