About the role

Huskisson Drive In Bottleshop is seeking an experienced Liquor Manager to join our dynamic team in Huskisson, NSW. This is a full time position based at our retail location, where you will take on a leadership role overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bottleshop. You will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining stock levels, ensuring compliance with liquor licensing regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service.

This role is integral to the success of our business and offers the opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily bottleshop operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management
- Lead, train, mentor and supervise bottleshop staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards
- Maintain accurate stock records and manage ordering of liquor products to meet customer demand and minimise wastage
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, age verification requirements and all relevant retail regulations
- Manage customer queries and complaints professionally, maintaining positive relationships with patrons
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase revenue
- Maintain health, safety and security standards throughout the premises
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews to support team development
- Liaise with suppliers and management on product availability, pricing and promotional opportunities

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within retail, hospitality or liquor retail environments
- Strong knowledge of liquor products, including wine, spirits, beer and cider ranges
- Thorough understanding of liquor licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements




- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software
- Strong numerical and cash handling abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Current Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it
- Current RSA certification or willingness to obtain it
- A valid driver's licence is advantageous
