A veterinary hospital in Samford Valley is looking to build its pool of Locum Veterinary Nurses who can assist with full-day weekend shifts on an ad hoc basis.

This could be a great option if you’re already working during the week and would like to pick up occasional weekend work without committing to a regular second role.

The Role

You’ll be supporting a busy veterinary hospital seeing a combination of general practice and emergency cases.

The team is particularly open to nurses with a strong GP background. Previous ECC experience is beneficial but isn’t essential,



particularly for experienced nurses who are interested in developing their emergency and hospital nursing skills.

About You

Ideally, you will:

- Have solid small animal veterinary nursing experience
- Be confident with general nursing duties and patient care
- Have valuable communication and teamwork skills
- Be comfortable within a busy hospital environment
- Have some ECC exposure or an interest in gaining further experience
- Be available for occasional full-day weekend shifts

The hospital is happy to support nurses transitioning from GP into a role with greater exposure to emergency cases.
