Assistant Manager – Engineering

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager – Engineering to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance and presentation of our hotel. You’ll lead with calm confidence, solve problems before they become disruptions and help create an environment where guests and colleagues feel comfortable, safe and well cared for.

What you’ll do

- Support the Engineering Manager with daily operations, maintenance and preventative maintenance programs
- Lead and guide the Engineering team across shifts
- Coordinate repairs, inspections and contractor activities
- Respond promptly to guest and operational requests




- Monitor building services, plant equipment and hotel systems
- Maintain accurate records, reports and maintenance schedules
- Promote protected work practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Work closely with every department to keep the hotel running beautifully

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

- Previous experience in hotel engineering, facilities or building services
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and building operations
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- Clear communication and excellent organisation
- The ability to remain composed and responsive in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant technical qualifications or trade background
- A genuine interest in hospitality and the guest experience
- Must already have ongoing and current working rights for Australia
