Woods & Co Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a well-established and vibrant pub in South Yarra, known for its busy atmosphere, functions, events, live entertainment and late-night trade.

We’re looking for an experienced Duty / Shift Manager to join the team full-time and take charge of the shift.

Leading a team of 10–15, you’ll keep service moving, oversee functions and make sure the venue is running at its best through to close.

What do you do?

- Take ownership of the day-to-day running of your shift and ensure the venue operates smoothly
- Lead, support and manage a team of 10–15 staff across busy service periods
- Oversee food and beverage service, functions and events across the venue
- Coordinate staff and ensure the team is set up for successful service




- Handle customer issues and maintain high standards of service and presentation
- Complete late-night closes and ensure the venue is properly shut down
- Work closely with senior management to maintain solid operational standards

What do you need?

- Previous Duty Manager, Shift Manager, Assistant Venue Manager or similar hospitality experience
- Solid background in pubs, bars, hotels or high-volume hospitality, with restaurant experience
- Previous functions and events experience is highly desirable
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of 10–15 staff
- Confident working busy services, handling issues and making decisions under pressure
- Comfortable with late-night trade and 3am closes
- Current RSA and full-time availability
