LIS Support Officer

· Part Time Fixed Term Position [6 Months]

· 48 Hours Per Fortnight

· Salary: $54,949 to $60,746 per annum + Super

· Role commencing in October The LIS Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation, maintenance and optimisation of the Laboratory Information System (Auslab) across Public Pathology Victoria. Working closely with laboratory, clinical and ICT teams, you will help ensure system reliability, maintain data integrity, provide technical support to users, and contribute to ongoing system improvements that support high-quality patient care.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in pathology, health informatics or IT support who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with stakeholders and supporting critical clinical systems.

About You

You will bring

- Experience working within pathology, laboratory information systems, health informatics or IT support environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
- Experience maintaining system documentation, testing activities and change implementation processes
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
- Experience with AUSLAB Evolution LIMS will be highly regarded

Key Responsibilities

- Provide operational support and issue resolution for the Laboratory Information System (Auslab)
- Assist with system configuration, maintenance, testing and implementation activities
- Support data integrity, reporting and data extraction activities
- Maintain system documentation, procedures and job-tracking records
- Work collaboratively with laboratory,



clinical and ICT stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system optimisation projects
- Provide high-quality customer service while prioritising workflow based on clinical needs
