Essential Functions of The Job

We are looking for Logistics Analyst for a contract of 6 months role based out of Sydney

Qualifications Basic

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution.

Skills and Responsibilities The general purpose of this role of the logistics analyst is responsible for validating & controlling logistics transport spend across all business units, with the objective of delivering every day excellent execution and contributes to business KPI's, profitability. To facilitate this the implementation of the project to more fully use the OTM capabilities for transport planning, costing and payment will be key.

The role is responsible for enabling the discovery and delivery of insights through analysis of multiple logistics data sets, inputting analytics into distribution projects and subsequently leading projects to achieve business targets. As a key partner to the Unilever Logistics team, the logistics analyst will make sense of vast amounts of cost and operations related data in a way that enables Unilever's decision makers to act and improve the way they do business.



With the support of key business stakeholders, the logistics analyst is expected to take ownership of the data and translate it to tangible cost reduction projects.

Reducing Logistics Spend

- Ensure transport vendors invoices are validated and paid in a timely manner. All charges, big or small, must be duly checked & challenged prior to releasing final payment.

- Review the detailed logistics spends related to transport services and identify improvement opportunities to reduce overall spent.

- Analyse transport costs against budget and trend. Issue data, report and KPIs to senior management.

- Perform detailed financial modelling of potential changes, including the effect on operational performance and profitability.

- Resolving financial disputes, troubleshooting with transporters.

Collaborative relationships

- Work with 3PLs, transporters, customers and internal stakeholders to improve transport cost accuracy and transparency.

- Administrating logistics contracts, rate master, vendor profiles, lane information, fuel levy etc. logistics data.

- Execute month end accruals for multiple Unilever entities.

- Play leading role in UAT, process mapping, data cleansing to support transportation transformation projects.

- Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and training to new team members.

Continuous Improvement





- Involvement in VIP (Value Improvement Projects) by providing the transportation data and insights that lead to implementation of transportation VIP projects.

- Working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve transportation cost saving target.

- Optimizing Unilever logistic network by analyzing new carriers, lanes and mode of transport with minimum interruption to day-to-day business and maximum impact to the bottom line.

- Driving Compliance, Chain of Responsibility and internal process control.

- Understanding of Oracle Transport Manager and implementation experience.

- In depth knowledge of Australian warehousing and transportation landscape.

- Good grasp of transport load planning principles in Ambient, Frozen and Chilled network.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication and presentation skills

- Strong influencing skills and interpersonal skills

- Strong team commitment and results delivery orientation

- Basic understanding of SAP, & Excel

- Able to navigate through PowerBI reports
