About the role

Borepoint Drilling & Excavation is looking for a hands-on Machine Operator / Truck Driver to join the field team in Canberra. The role combines driving and taking ownership of one of the trucks with hands-on work across drilling, hydrovac and civil operations. You'll work alongside drilling crews on a variety of projects throughout Canberra and the surrounding region.

Key responsibilities

- Drive and take day-to-day responsibility for your allocated truck
- Keep the truck clean, maintained and ready for work
- Identify basic maintenance issues before they become bigger problems
- Perform hydrovac excavation and operation
- Assist drilling operators and be an active member of the drilling crew
- Set up and pack down equipment and worksites




- Perform general civil and field work
- Work safely around underground services, plant and machinery
- Help the crew wherever required to get the job completed

About you

- Mechanically minded, practical and enjoy working with machinery
- Take ownership of the equipment you operate
- Comfortable working outdoors and getting your hands dirty
- Experience in drilling, hydrovac, civil construction, earthmoving or similar industries is highly regarded
- Heavy vehicle licence required
