Maintenance & Handyperson | South Brisbane

We’re looking for a practical, dependable and hands-on Maintenance & Handyperson to join our hotel team in South Brisbane.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys fixing things, finding solutions and taking pride in keeping a property safe, functional and well presented. You’ll play an important part in ensuring our guests, staff and facilities are well looked after.

About You You’ll ideally have experience in hotel, commercial property, facilities, building maintenance or general handyman work.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has at least 1 year of maintenance or handyman experience
- Is confident carrying out general repairs and maintenance
- Has practical knowledge across areas such as plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, plastering and outdoor upkeep
- Can identify issues and work out practical solutions
- Is organised, reliable and pays attention to detail




- Works well independently while also being a team player
- Has a positive, "no job is too hard" approach
- Has full Australian working rights
- Is available to work 3–5 days per week across a rotating roster

The Role

Your responsibilities will include

- Completing day-to-day repairs and preventative maintenance around the hotel
- Attending to maintenance requests from guests and team members
- Checking rooms, public areas and facilities for maintenance issues
- Helping with property improvement and maintenance projects
- Keeping maintenance areas, tools and equipment organised and in good working order
- Following workplace health and safety requirements
- Helping ensure the property remains protected, presentable and operating at its best

Experience:

Maintenance or handyman experience – 1 year preferred
