Purpose;
The Manager, Core Platforms is responsible for providing technical and functional support to the business in relation to system enhance / development, BAU support, maintenance, configuration, release / patching, incident / problem / change management with the ITIL Framework to ensure Angle systems operate and perform at optimal levels and in accordance to agreed SLAs.
In this role you will have the prospect to combine both your technical expertise and leadership skills to manage and improve application support teams and provide solutions to technical issues that may arise.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities;
- Oversee day-to-day operations of application support services, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and escalation management.
- Monitor application performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
- System support and enhancement - development maintenance, configuration, release and patching
- Problem Resolution & Escalation including incident, problem and change management
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for the implementation of new applications or features, ensuring smooth integration.
- Maintain detailed documentation of application configurations, workflows, issue resolution processes, and known errors and contribute to knowledge base.
- Create and/or contribute to technology recovery plans that meet continuity objectives and are able to respond in the event of disaster and minimise business disruption
- Work closely with the Risk & Compliance team to safeguard business services by identifying potential weakness, single points of failure and operational risks that may result in interruptions to critical business services
- Develop and/or propose risk mitigation plans and procedures to protect business operations
- Oversee and contribute to effective capacity management across all critical Technology services to ensure right-sizing technology systems to meet current and future needs
Qualifications;
- IT engineering degree or similar
- ITIL V3 or ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
- Development experience with SQL Server, C#, Azure DevOps, Integration/API
- Knowledge of FIS Ambit Asset Finance system is desirable
Experiences;
- Practical Experience with FIS Asset Finance (Highly Desirable)
- Practiced experience in Application DevOps in financial services with C# experience would be highly desirable.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in ITIL processes specifically Incidents, Problems and Change
- Experienced in managing major incidents, trouble shooting, root cause analysis and working under pressure. Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Experience managing 3rd party vendor delivery and outcomes
- Experience with custom SDLC processes such as code versioning, packaging, test driven development (TDD), continuous integration, test automation, code analysis, and code quality metrics
- Proven track record of continual service improvement, achieving service agreements and with a risk mindset (including policy, standards and processes)
- Knowledge of technologies (including new and emerging)
- Worked in an ITIL operating model and describe the value this create for customers
