In this role, you'll:

- Lead the design and delivery of strategic community and stakeholder engagement initiatives across NSW
- Provide high level advice to senior leaders on community sentiment, emerging issues and reputational risk
- Develop clear, evidence based engagement narratives that connect organisational priorities with local communities
- Use data, insights and analytics to strengthen engagement quality and inform decision making
- Manage issues and crisis communication in partnership with corporate communications teams
- Build and lead high performing, inclusive teams and support capability uplift across disciplines
- Work closely with project teams, contractors and consultants to deliver high quality engagement outcomes
- Ensure governance, compliance and reporting frameworks support transparent and effective engagement For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Media, Public Relations, Marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in strategic stakeholder and community engagement, ideally within complex public sector or infrastructure environments
- Strong leadership capability with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams




- Proven ability to develop and implement engagement and communication strategies, including issues and risk management
- Well developed influencing, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Sound political acumen and understanding of government processes and community expectations
- Experience using insights and analytics to drive continuous improvement
- IAP2 Certificate in Engagement, or willingness to obtain
- Current Australian driver licence and willingness to travel and work outside standard hours when required
