About the role
As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Newcastle and Hunter region , depending on where you’re based - work close to home!
Key responsibilities
- Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
- Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
- Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
- Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
Required qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
- Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability
- Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
- Time management & organisational skills to manage diverse caseload
