We are working on behalf of a prestigeous hospital is seeking passionate and experienced Birth Suite Midwives to join our dedicated maternity team. This is an exciting opportunity to secure a permanent, full-time position within a supportive and collaborative maternity environment.

About the Role

As a Birth Suite Midwife, you will play a key role in supporting women and their families throughout their birthing journey. Working alongside experienced obstetricians, midwives, nurses and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, evidence-based and personalised maternity care.

Your responsibilities will include

- Providing high-quality, woman-centred midwifery care throughout labour, birth and the immediate postnatal period
- Supporting women to achieve their individual birth preferences and goals
- Undertaking comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments
- Managing low-risk labour and recognising and responding appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal wellbeing
- Supporting women experiencing complex pregnancies and births in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Assisting with vaginal and operative births, including emergency situations
- Promoting a positive, respectful and empowering birth experience
- Providing education,



reassurance and emotional support to women and their families
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with hospital policies, professional standards and legislation
- Participating in clinical handover, education, quality improvement and professional development activities

What We're Looking For

We are looking for midwives who are:

- Registered Midwives with AHPRA
- Experienced in Birth Suite and maternity care
- Confident in the assessment and management of women throughout labour and birth
- Calm, compassionate and confident in emergency situations
- Committed to evidence-based practice and clinical excellence
- Excellent communicators who work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Dedicated to providing respectful, culturally sensitive and family-centred care
- Positive, professional and passionate about making a difference to women and their families

Previous private maternity experience will be highly regarded but is not mandatory.
