About the role:
The Manager, Technology Procurement leads the planning, execution and governance of IT procurement activities for NSW Parliament, including the acquisition of hardware, software, and IT services.
The role ensures procurement is compliant with NSW Government policy, value-for-money principles and supports Parliament’s digital objectives. IT provides authoritative advice with respect to contract management; produces and reviews contract documentation, and monitors contract stages to completion for compliance with agreed terms and public sector contract management legislation, policies and practices.
The role also oversees and provides expertise in IT asset management and lifecycle planning and manages a team responsible for procurement operations and IT contract management.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. About you In this role you will be required to have a good knowledge of procurement and probity standards together with experience interpreting procurement-related legislation, policies and procedural documents. Extensive experience in IT procurement and contract management, including hardware, software, licensing, and cloud/managed services. A demonstrated understanding of IT asset lifecycle planning and technology investment optimisation with experience and skill in supplier engagement, tendering and negotiating commercial outcomes; together with experience with E-Tendering platforms, contract registers and asset management tools.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, law, information technology, business or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Certification or experience with ITIL Foundation (or higher) in service management practices.

Describe your experience managing ICT procurement and contract management activities, including sourcing, evaluation, approvals, supplier engagement, contract renewals, variations, compliance and record keeping.
