THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day marketing and communications activities at CDA.

This 4 day per week role is parental leave cover until August 2027. The role supports multi-channel content creation, media relations, website updates, social media and internal communications to strengthen CDA’s brand, fundraising, and engagement. You will play a hands-on role in appeal delivery, donor storytelling, and campaign coordination.

With Clown Doctors Australia celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2027, this role will provide key support in developing marketing and communications collateral and content to celebrate this significant milestone and share 30 years of impact, laughter and connection.

Essential Criteria:

- 3-5 years' experience in a content, marketing, or communications role preferably within a social impact, fundraising or campaign-focused team




- Exceptional writing skills and the ability to adapt voice and tone for different platforms and audiences
- Experience in writing media releases, media liaison and monitoring traditional, digital and social media coverage relevant to Clown Doctors Australia.
- Experience using platforms such as Canva, CMS (WordPress), social platforms and confidence with basic design/video editing tools
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Raiser's Edge or similar, and developing email campaigns with the CRM
- Strong attention to detail in managing usage rights, consents, and brand consistency.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly when working with vulnerable communities or service users
- Organised and reliable with project management skills — can juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
