Join a growing organisation creating brighter futures for young people
At Blue Light Victoria, we believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive. For 50 years, we've been connecting young people with police, emergency services, schools and communities through prevention and early intervention programs that build wellbeing, belonging and resilience.
As we embark on an exciting period of growth, we're looking for a talented Marketing and Communications Coordinator to help elevate our profile, amplify our impact and bring the stories of young people, volunteers and community partners to life.
This is more than a marketing role.
It's an opportunity to shape how a respected statewide charity communicates its purpose, engages supporters and inspires action.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Impact and Advocacy, you'll be at the centre of Blue Light Victoria's communications and storytelling efforts.
You'll work across digital channels, campaigns, media opportunities and stakeholder communications to showcase the impact of our work and strengthen connections with schools, community partners, funders, volunteers and supporters.
One day you might be interviewing young people and volunteers at a regional program. The next, you'll be creating social content, developing a campaign, coordinating media opportunities or analysing digital engagement results.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing creativity with execution and strategy with action.
Key responsibilities
- Create engaging content across social media, website, email and marketing channels.
- Tell compelling stories that showcase the impact of Blue Light Victoria's work.
- Coordinate and produce content for digital, print and media opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including police and emergency service communication teams.
- Support the delivery of marketing campaigns that increase awareness, participation and support.
- Manage and enhance website and digital communications.
- Track, analyse and report on communication outcomes and audience engagement.
- Help maintain a strong, consistent and contemporary brand presence.
About you
You're a confident communicator who knows how to turn ideas, stories and outcomes into meaningful content. You enjoy taking initiative, finding solutions and making things happen. You're equally comfortable working independently and collaborating with a passionate team.
You'll bring
- Qualifications in marketing, communications, public relations or a related discipline.
- Experience across digital communications, content creation and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills.
- Strong social media and website management experience.
- A creative eye and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- A proactive,
solutions-focused approach.
· A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people. Why Blue Light Victoria?
This is a chance to join an organisation with an ambitious vision and a real sense of momentum.
You'll be part of a collaborative team that values initiative, innovation and continuous improvement, while supporting work that delivers tangible outcomes for thousands of young people across Victoria.
We offer
- Meaningful work with genuine community impact.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- A supportive and collaborative culture.
- Professional development opportunities.
- Salary packaging benefits.
- The opportunity to help shape and grow a highly respected statewide organisation.
Our values
Everything we do is guided by our values of:
