About the role

We are seeking an experienced MC Operator to join our team on a full-time or casual basis.

As an MC Operator, you will play a crucial role in our bulk road transport operations, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Kenworth Prime mover in pocket or road train configurations of tippers and tankers. This is a one truck one driver position.

Key responsibilities

- Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment.
- Time management, assessing load weights, environmental conditions and site constraints
- Communicate effectively with load points, clients and other team members to ensure tasks are fulfilled as required.
- Maintain accurate records of daily tasks, including load weights, distances travelled and any incidents or maintenance issues
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report any defects or maintenance requirements to management promptly
- Comply with all health, safety and environmental requirements, reporting hazards and near-misses immediately

What we're looking for

- Valid Multi Combination Licence (MC) Unrestricted




- Minimum 2 years road ranger experience
- Competent in reversing double road trains

- Grain experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of load calculations
- Wiliness to work away from home within MRWA regulations

- Excellent safety awareness
- Sound communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks associated with vehicle operation including changing of tyres roadside
- Reliability and punctuality, with a flexible approach to work scheduling including potential weekend or overtime work
- Knowledge of road transport regulations and experience in vehicle maintenance is advantageous
