Hi-Purity is a specialist medical gas contractor delivering installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning works across hospitals, healthcare facilities and specialist medical projects throughout Western Australia. We are looking for an experienced Plumber / Gas Fitter / Medical Gas Installer who wants to move into, or continue working within, the specialized medical gas industry.

This is not general maintenance plumbing. You’ll be working on technically engaging projects involving medical oxygen, medical air, suction/vacuum, nitrous oxide, tool air, manifolds, valve boxes, alarm systems and medical gas plant.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works well as part of a small professional team and wants to build a long-term career in a specialized area of the plumbing industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Installation of medical gas copper pipework and associated systems
- Installation of oxygen, medical air, suction and other medical gas services
- Medical gas terminal outlets, valve boxes, manifolds and alarm panels
- Installation and connection of medical gas plant and equipment
- Brazing of medical gas copper pipework
- Pressure testing, leak testing and system verification
- Testing and commissioning of medical gas systems
- Reading construction drawings and medical gas layouts
- Hospital upgrades, refurbishments and new installations
- Preventative maintenance and servicing of existing medical gas systems
- Working in accordance with AS 2896 / AS 2896-2021, project specifications and site safety requirements

Who We’re Looking For

Ideally, you will have plumbing or gas fitting experience and be comfortable working on commercial construction or healthcare projects. Medical gas experience is highly regarded,



but we are also interested in experienced tradespeople who have the right attitude, good workmanship and want to specialize.

You should have

- Plumbing trade qualification
- Current WA plumbing license where applicable
- Construction White Card
- Strong copper pipework and brazing skills
- Ability to read drawings and work independently
- Good attention to detail
- Strong understanding of workplace safety
- Professional attitude when working in hospitals and healthcare environments
- Current Australian driver’s license

Experience with medical gas systems, AS 2896-2021, hospital plumbing, medical oxygen, medical air, suction systems, medical gas commissioning or medical gas maintenance would be a major advantage.
