About the Role

As the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic while helping create a welcoming, supportive, and efficient environment for patients undergoing neurological care.



You will work closely with the neurologist, Practice Manager, and healthcare team in a busy but supportive specialist environment where your contribution is genuinely valued and appreciated.

Essential Criteria

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a medical receptionist within a healthcare or specialist medical setting
- Strong computer and administration skills
- Experience with patient booking and practice management software (experience with Xestro PMS is highly regarded)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly within a fast-paced clinical environment
- Flexibility to assist with leave coverage when required

Key Responsibilities





- Providing professional and compassionate customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Managing appointments, phone enquiries, emails, and patient communications
- Coordinating patient bookings and clinic schedules accurately and efficiently
- Processing invoicing, receipting, and administrative documentation
- Preparing clinics and patient files ahead of consulting sessions
- Supporting doctors and the Practice Manager with administrative and operational duties
- Liaising with referring doctors, allied health professionals, and external stakeholders
- Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and an organised reception environment
