Member Engagement Officer

- Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre (BVRC)

- Part Time (0.6 EFT) | Fixed term position to February 2027

- $78, 621 - $84,734 - Band 4 (pro rata) plus superannuation

Help strengthen volunteering and community connections across Boroondara The City of Boroondara is seeking an enthusiastic and community-minded Member Engagement Officer to join our Community Development team.

This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships with volunteer-involving organisations, support community engagement initiatives, and help deliver services that strengthen and grow volunteering across Boroondara.

Working within the Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre (BVRC), you will play a key role in supporting member organisations, coordinating engagement activities, delivering communications, and contributing to events that connect volunteers with valuable opportunities within our community.

About the role

Reporting to the Volunteer Support and Development Lead, you will~

- Build and maintain strong relationships with BVRC member organisations and volunteer-involving organisations.

- Drive participation in BVRC programs, events and capacity-building opportunities.

- Support member retention and engagement initiatives.

- Coordinate and deliver Member Network Meetings and other engagement activities.

- Develop and distribute member communications, including e-bulletins and social media content.

- Maintain accurate membership and insurance records within BVRC systems.

- Support delivery of key events including~

- Boroondara Volunteer Expo

- Skilled Volunteer Meet





- International Volunteer Day
- Community pop-up activities

- Respond to enquiries from members and the wider community in line with Council's Customer Promise.

- Contribute to service planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

You are a relationship-focused professional who enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders and making a positive impact in the community.

You will bring~

- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

- Experience working with community-based organisations, volunteer programs or community development initiatives.

- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

- Confidence using databases, online systems, Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

- An understanding of volunteering and community development principles and practices.
