As a WHS Inspector, youwill play a vital role in promoting safe, fair, and productive workplacesacross South Australia. You will engage directly with workers and employers,using your legislated powers in both proactive and reactive settings to uphold thehighest standards of workplace and public safety.
Weare currently seeking multiple Inspectors to join our Psychosocial andIndustrial Team. Reporting to the Manager, Inspectorate Team, these rolesare responsible for investigating:
- Psychosocialrisk matters lodgedwith SafeWork SA, and
- Industrialrelations claims ,including:
- Longservice leave claims for private sector workers in SA
- Wagesand leave claims for SA public sector employees, statutory authorities, andlocal government workers
With recentlegislative changes addressing psychosocial hazards and workplace sexualharassment, this role is more important than ever in helping preventpsychological harm at work and ensuring psychologically safe environments.
What We’re Looking For
We value candidates with experience or qualificationsin related fields such as:
- Industrial relations
- Human rights
- Community or social services
- Allied health or health services
- Psychology or social sciences
- W ork health and Safety (WHS)
You will bring a sound understanding of psychosocialhealth and safety, and the ability to respond effectively to complex andhigh-risk issues. Your communication skills, and investigative mindset will bekey to your success in this role.
You’ll be joining a small, collaborative teamdedicated to protecting the rights of workers across a diverse range ofindustries.

- Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
