Experienced in metal roofing and confident with roof measures and material take-offs? Ready to step into a supervisory role - or already there?

Fox Metal Roofing is looking for a Roofing Supervisor to join our team.

A key part of this role is accurately measuring roofs and completing material take-offs, so we're particularly interested in someone who already has experience in this area and can bring that capability to the team.

You may already be working as a Roofing Supervisor, or you might be an experienced metal roof plumber who's ready to step away from being permanently on the tools and take on more responsibility.

We're prepared to develop the right person across the broader supervisory responsibilities - but experience with roof measures and take-offs would be a significant advantage and is a priority for us.

The Role

This is a practical, hands-on supervisory role combining roof measures and take-offs, site inspections, quality control and coordination of roofing works.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Completing accurate roof/site measures
- Preparing material take-offs from site measurements and construction drawings
- Reviewing plans, specifications and roofing details
- Conducting roof and site inspections
- Checking workmanship, quality and compliance
- Monitoring progress and identifying issues before they impact the job
- Liaising with builders, site managers, clients, roofing crews and our internal team
- Helping coordinate crews, materials and upcoming works
- Providing practical guidance and support to roofing crews




- Supporting safe work practices across our sites
- Following issues through to resolution and helping keep projects moving

Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone with a solid practical background in metal roofing or roof plumbing who is ready to take ownership of more than just the installation.

Ideally, you'll already be confident completing roof measures and material take-offs. If you've been doing this as a leading hand, senior roof plumber or supervisor, we'd particularly like to hear from you.

You'll also

- Have strong practical metal roofing/roof plumbing knowledge
- Be able to read and interpret plans and construction drawings
- Understand roofing materials, quantities and installation requirements
- Have a good eye for workmanship and detail
- Be organised and able to plan ahead
- Communicate confidently with crews, builders and our internal team
- Take ownership and follow things through
- Identify problems rather than walk past them
- Be willing to learn and continue developing
- Value safety, quality and teamwork
- Hold a current driver's licence

Previous supervisory experience is highly regarded, but it isn't essential.
