Experienced Nanny & Family Cook – Loving Gold Coast Household

Start date: October 8th Location: Surfes Paradise, Gold Coast

Days: Monday–Friday, with some flexibility

Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week

Pay: $38-$40 per hour, depending on experience and capabilities

We are a warm, busy skilled family seeking a reliable and experienced nanny who also enjoys preparing healthy family meals. This is a long-term position for someone who genuinely loves children and takes pride in helping a household run smoothly.

Our children are happy, affectionate and active. They love being outdoors, visiting the beach, attending activities and learning through creative play. We are looking for someone calm, caring and confident who understands young children—including navigating their occasional big feelings with patience and kindness.

Both parents regularly work from home and are experienced in having a full-time nanny as part of the household.

The role includes:

- Providing attentive, loving and engaging care for the children.
- Planning age-appropriate activities, outings and educational play.
- Driving the children to activities using the family car.
- Preparing healthy, family-friendly meals and snacks.
- Meal planning and assisting with grocery lists or shopping.
- Keeping children’s spaces clean and organised.
- Cleaning up after meals and activities as you go.
- Assisting with laundry, dishes, vacuuming,



mopping and general household tidying.
- Helping maintain an organised, calm and welcoming home.
- Occasionally assisting on weekends or accompanying us on fully paid family holidays, by mutual agreement.

The children are often out attending activities, allowing household tasks and meal preparation to be completed during quieter periods.

About you:

- Experienced in a similar nanny or family-assistant role.
- Confident caring for young children.
- A capable and enthusiastic home cook.
- Warm, patient, compassionate and emotionally mature.
- Creative and able to organise stimulating activities.
- Reliable, organised and able to take initiative.
- Comfortable multitasking and managing a household routine.
- Interested in becoming a trusted, long-term part of our family.

Requirements:

- Current Queensland Blue Card.
- National Police Check.
- Current First Aid and infant CPR certification.
- Clean Australian driver’s licence.
- Relevant nanny references.
- Full Australian working rights.

The hourly rate will reflect your experience, qualifications and ability to confidently manage both childcare and family cooking.
