We are looking for a passionate and commercially minded National Business Development Manager to support the growth of Variety Cruises across Australia and Recent Zealand.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on business development role focused on growing distribution and revenue across Australia and New Zealand.

You will represent Variety Cruises in the market, building relationships across the travel trade while identifying new opportunities for growth through agency, wholesale, group, charter and special interest channels.

Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and the global commercial team, you will play an important role in expanding our footprint and helping more travellers discover a different way to cruise.

Key Responsibilities

Grow the Market

- Support the execution of the commercial growth strategy for Australia and New Zealand.
- Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across trade, group and charter segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel advisors, host agencies, wholesalers, tour operators and strategic partners.
- Develop new distribution opportunities across the travel trade.
- Identify opportunities within affinity groups, associations, museums, universities, conservation organisations and special-interest communities.

Represent the Brand





- Act as Variety Cruises' ambassador across Australia and New Zealand.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, industry events and networking functions.
- Organise and host training sessions, webinars, roadshows and trade engagement events.
- Participate in and support familiarisation trips for travel advisors and partners.

Drive Commercial Performance

- Deliver revenue growth across FIT, group and charter business.
- Identify new market opportunities and emerging distribution channels.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with the global sales and marketing teams to maximise market performance.

About You

You are a motivated relationship builder who is passionate about travel and enjoys creating opportunities.

You bring

- Experience in travel, cruise, tourism, hospitality or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success in sales, business development or account management.
- Existing industry relationships and the ability to develop new commercial partnerships.
- Strong presentation, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Australia, New Zealand and internationally when required.
