Network Engineer | SSL | TLS | Zscaler Network Engineer | 6-Month Contract | Melbourne

About the RoleThis position will be responsible for the design, deployment, and support of secure SSL/TLS services across enterprise network and application environments, ensuring reliable certificate management, encryption, and compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities✅ Deploy and maintain SSL/TLS certificates across load balancers, firewalls, proxies, and web services

✅ Configure SSL termination, SSL inspection/decryption, certificate authentication, and bridging services

✅ Manage certificate lifecycle activities including CSR generation, renewals, replacements, and revocations

✅ Troubleshoot certificate chains, cipher compatibility issues, handshake failures, and connectivity problems

✅ Develop automation and monitoring solutions to prevent certificate expiry and configuration drift

✅ Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and security standards

✅ Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams to coordinate changes and resolve incidents





Skills & Experience✔ Strong enterprise networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing

✔ Hands-on experience with PKI, certificates, TLS protocols, cipher suites, and key management

✔ Experience with technologies such as Zscaler, Palo Alto, F5, Microsoft CA, or similar platforms

✔ Exposure to scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, APIs, or Ansible is highly desirable

✔ Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

✔ Certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, or F5 are advantageous

✔ Experience working in regulated or mission-critical environments is beneficial
