As the Nominated Supervisor you will provide leadership and day to day management of the OSHC service. You will be responsible for leading and managing a thriving OSHC service with the capacity of 50 children per day aged between 4 and 12 years of age during school terms and full time in Vacation Care.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure the service operates in compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations
- Lead the development and implementation of engaging, child-centred programs aligned with My Time, Our Place – Framework for School Age Care in Australia
- Mentor, support and inspire educators to deliver high-quality care and learning experiences
- Build positive relationships with children, families and the school community
- Oversee compliance, staffing, rostering, enrolments and administrative requirements
- Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture
- Manage documentation, medication, and Risk Minimisation and Communication Plans for children with health needs
- Develop and maintain service-specific risk assessments, supervision plans and implement behavioural support plans
About you
- An approved qualification under the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) requirements, or be working towards one
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) – Tasmania
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management qualifications (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an OSHC, early childhood or education setting
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and National Regulations
- Experience developing educational programs using the My Time, Our Place framework
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Hold or be willing to obtain National Child Safety Training certificate
- Willingness to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law
