Are you a relationship-driven HR professional who enjoys employee relations and a genuine mix of BAU and project work?

Cement Australia is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People and Capability team as a trusted advisor, working predominantly with our Operations division. Reporting to the HR Manager - Business Partnering, you will work closely with experienced senior leaders and their teams across our sites nationally, supporting a diverse workforce of salaried and enterprise agreement covered employees.

You will have genuine ability to lead change initiatives that make a difference to employees with an experienced People and Capability team alongside you. You will be based at our corporate head office in Darra (check Google Maps - it may be closer than you think), with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.

In this role you will:

- Deliver pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice and coaching that helps leaders manage workforce risk, performance and capability.
- Manage day to day employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary action, complex investigations and terminations, through to resolution.
- Respond to your leaders as valued customers, moving at pace to keep matters progressing and resolved.
- Coach Leaders and build people capability through targeted training and facilitation.
- Lead organisation design and structure reviews, including role evaluations, scope and alignment, and business cases.
- Partner with HR Managers on strategic initiatives including succession planning, change initiatives and HR projects, and contribute to HR governance and the wider HR calendar.

What You’ll Bring

- Demonstrated generalist HR experience, including hands‑on employee relations, investigations and complex case management.
- A proven ability to partner with senior leaders and deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice aligned to business priorities.
- A responsive, customer‑focused approach, with the ability to move at pace and see matters through to resolution.
- Well‑developed communication, influencing and collaboration skills at all levels.
- Sound judgement, strong organisation and action‑oriented,



with the ability to manage competing priorities without losing attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to site as required, approximately five to six times per year.

Also valued: a bachelor's degree in HR or a related discipline, experience in an operational industry such as manufacturing, mining or distribution, and current knowledge of HR best practice.
