Our client is a growing plant and equipment hire business servicing the construction, civil and infrastructure sectors. With an expanding fleet and increasing demand, they are looking for an experienced Fleet & Hire Team Lead to take ownership of their day to day fleet and hire operations.

n

The Role

n

You will be responsible for coordinating the day to day management of the fleet, ensuring equipment is available, well maintained and where it needs to be to meet customer requirements.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

- Managing and coordinating the day to day plant and equipment fleet
n
- Monitoring fleet availability, utilisation and movements
n
- Coordinating equipment allocations, deliveries, collections and transfers
n
- Working closely with the hire team to ensure equipment is available and ready for customer requirements
n
- Liaising with transport providers, operators, technicians and customers
n
- Ensuring returned equipment is inspected and prepared for its next hire
n
- Monitoring servicing, maintenance and compliance requirements
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve fleet utilisation and reduce downtime
n
- Supporting fleet planning and procurement as the business continues to grow
n
- Maintaining accurate fleet records and hire information
n
- Resolving operational issues and keeping customers informed
n
- Helping develop and improve processes across the fleet and hire function
n

About You

n





We are looking for an experienced fleet, hire or equipment skilled who is comfortable taking ownership in a busy operational environment.

n

Your background may include:

n

- Plant and equipment hire
n
- Heavy machinery or earthmoving
n
- Fleet management
n
- Transport and logistics
n
- Civil construction
n
- Equipment rental
n

n

You will have a strong understanding of plant and equipment and the practical requirements involved in getting machinery to and from construction sites.

n

You'll also be organised, commercially minded and confident dealing with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

n
