Lead paediatric nursing excellence at Logan Hospital as a Nurse Unit Manager.

Temporary full-time | Logan Hospital, Meadowbrook — Lead the Children’s Inpatient and Day Units and make a meaningful difference to children, families and the nursing team.

About This Role

Your new role

As Nurse Unit Manager, you'll provide advanced clinical and operational leadership across the Children's Inpatient and Children's Day Units, helping deliver safe, compassionate and evidence-informed care while supporting a capable and engaged nursing team.

You'll Do This By

- Leading the delivery of high-quality, person-centred paediatric care and achieving positive patient outcomes.
- Providing operational leadership across workforce, financial and material resource management.
- Building a positive practice environment through effective communication, collaboration and clinical leadership.
- Leading quality improvement, risk management, education and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Supporting staff development, mentoring, succession planning and workforce capability.
- Driving innovative practice and service improvements in partnership with nursing and multidisciplinary teams.

About You We're looking for an experienced paediatric nursing leader who can combine advanced clinical expertise with strong people, operational and service leadership skills, with the following capabilities:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in paediatric nursing practice.
- Experience in paediatric unit operational management, including HR, rostering and resource management.
- Strong communication, negotiation,



problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience leading quality improvement, practice change and evidence-informed care.
- A transformational leadership approach that builds team capability, engagement and motivation.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification, or current enrolment in postgraduate study, is highly desirable.

Logan Hospital Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services,



including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
