Join our specialist Behaviour Support team at QEII Hospital and use your advanced Occupational Therapy expertise to support patients with complex behaviour needs. Lead clinical practice, mentor colleagues and help shape innovative, patient-centred approaches to behaviour support across the service.

Role
As an Occupational Therapist – Behaviour Support (Advanced Clinical), you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to support patients with complex behaviour needs at QEII Hospital. Working closely with Occupational Therapy, multidisciplinary teams, patients and families, you will help deliver safe, compassionate and evidence-based care while building capability across the service. In this role, you will:
- Provide advanced Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and consultancy for patients with complex behaviour needs.
- Develop, review and support the implementation of complex behaviour support plans.
- Provide expert clinical advice to Occupational Therapy and multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead clinical practice development, education and mentoring for less experienced clinicians.
- Support the development of evidence-based practices, protocols and innovative models of care.
About You We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who brings advanced clinical expertise in behaviour support, strong leadership capability and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for patients with complex needs. You will bring:
- Advanced clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy Behaviour Support.
- Solid clinical reasoning and independent professional judgement.
- Highly developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience providing clinical leadership, supervision, mentoring and education.
- The ability to develop and implement innovative clinical practices and service models.
- Experience contributing to quality improvement, research or evidence-based practice.

About The Logan Hospital Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical,
rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through solid partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
