The Operational Resilience &

- Assurance Manager is responsible for governing and overseeing the organisation's Operational Resilience and Disaster Recovery (DR) framework to ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory obligations, and risk management requirements.

This role provides independent oversight and challenge to technology and business teams, ensuring that critical systems, applications, and services have documented, tested, and effective recovery capabilities.

The Resilience

Manager drives continuous improvement by identifying weaknesses, analysing outage events, monitoring compliance, and ensuring lessons learned are translated into meaningful resilience enhancements.

The Operational Resilience &

- Assurance Manager plays a key role in translating complex technical resilience risks into clear business outcomes and executive insights. The role is responsible for providing regular reporting, risk assessments, and assurance updates to senior leadership, executive forums, and governance committees, enabling informed decision-making and appropriate risk treatment across the organisation.

You'll Make Impact By

- Resilience Governance &
- Compliance
- Govern the Operational Resilience and Disaster Recovery framework, policies, and standards.
- Develop and present executive-level resilience and assurance reporting
- Ensure system and service owners meet their resilience obligations.
- Monitor, challenge, and report on compliance with resilience requirements.
- Escalate material risks, gaps, and policy breaches.
- Disaster Recovery Assurance
- Oversee the Disaster Recovery testing program across critical systems and services.
- Provide independent challenge to teams and drive remediation of identified gaps.
- Report on DR testing performance, successes, failures, and key risks.
- Communicate DR assurance outcomes to senior executives, highlighting organisational exposure, recovery readiness, systemic weaknesses, and business impact.
- Provide executive summaries following critical testing exercises, including management recommendations and risk treatment plans.
- Risk, Incident &
- Outage Management
- Lead resilience reviews following major incidents and outages.




- Create and present executive reporting packs that communicate resilience findings, systemic risks, and improvement opportunities uncovered through major incident and outage reviews
- Identify resilience weaknesses, and recovery improvement opportunities.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured, tracked, and embedded into future practices.
- Drive accountability for remediation actions and risk reduction initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to improve resilience capability, recovery readiness, and governance effectiveness.
- Leverage industry best practices and lessons learned to strengthen organisational resilience.

What You’ll Bring

- 10+ experience managing a combination of Technology functions i.e., IT, Infrastructure, and Networks in a large Enterprise organisation, preferably in a Telecommunications environment.
- Strong Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, risks, and resilience issues in clear business language suitable for executive audiences.
- Broad technical knowledge across enterprise technology environments, including networks, infrastructure, cloud platforms, cyber security, applications and databases
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior technology and business leaders, providing independent challenge while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to ask insightful and challenging questions that uncover hidden risks, validate recovery assumptions, and drive stronger resilience outcomes.
- Excellent consultation skills interfacing with Technical and Business stakeholders, and leaders across the Technology organisation.
- Experience in managing Critical Incidents.
- Able to smoothly navigate in a matrixed organisation, seeking consensus and buy-in, and holding others accountable.
- Excellent time and expectations management.




- Excellent in identifying and managing Technology risks impacting Business outcomes.
